I la recepta...

Aquí la recepta de l'APPLE PIE, en anglès pq és original del llibre "Dutch delight", de cuina holandesa:

TRADITIONAL DUTCH APPLE PIE

Ingredients:
For the crust
175 g sugar
250 g real butter
2 eggs
pinch of salt
500 self-raising flour

For the filing:
12 small-to-medium-sized cooking apples
Cinnamon
Sugar
150 g currants or sultanas

Preparation
Peel and quarter the apples, slicing each quarter thinly. Place the apple slices in a bowl, add two heaped desertsspoonfuls of sugar, sprinkle with cinnamon and mix well. Soak the currents or sultanas in warm water, rinse and a sieve and drain.
Pre-heat the oven to 190ºC. Grease a 28 cm-diameter spring form and sprinkle it lightly with flour. Mix together the sugar, butter, eggs and salt to a smooth consistency. Sift the self-raising flour into the dough and knead until it no longer sticks to the hands. Cover the base of the spring form entirely with dough and press down firmly. Now press more dough arround the sides of the spring form, making sure that it sticks well to the pastry on the base. Cover with a layer of apple slices, overlapping them, and sprinkle a handful of currants or sultanas on top. Repeat. Make strips from the rest of the pastry and lay them on top of the pie in a criss-cross patern. Brush with whisked egg yolk, to add an attractive sheen, and bake for fifty minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Truquillos:
• subtituir la “self-raising flour” per farina + llevat en pols
• en comptes de posar 175 g de sucre, posar meitat de sucre morè i meitat de mel
• si us agrada la canyella, endavant! Sinó també s’hi podria posar vainilla
• si no teniu pomes, potser amb peres també seria bo

Per veure com queda, mireu més avall, a l'anterior notícia :)

Endavant i bon profit!
